What the Fault Statuses Mean

Faults are color-coded so you can tell at a glance what needs attention now versus what is just history.

Active Problem (red)

The fault is present right now. This is what to investigate first.

Not Active (yellow)

The fault is stored in memory but isn't happening at the moment. It may be an intermittent issue or a leftover from a past event. Clear it and re-scan to see if it returns.

Inner Module Communication (gray)

An internal or network communication event — often informational, frequently caused by a module being asleep or briefly off the bus. Usually not a direct fault to chase on its own.

What to do

1

Start with Active faults.

2

Read the description and "what you might notice" for each.

3

Fix the root cause, then clear and re-scan — anything that returns as Active still needs work.

On the PDF report

The same colors and a legend appear on the saved report, so a customer can understand it too.
