Adaptations & Output Tests
Guided service procedures. Output tests switch a component on briefly so you can confirm it works; adaptations change or reset a module's learned settings.

How a procedure runs
1
Pick a procedure from the Adaptations or Output Tests tab of a module.
2
The tool shows a plain-English description and, where needed, simple inputs — a dropdown to choose from or a slider (percentage / +–) for actuator levels. No hex or codes to type.
3
A safety prompt tells you exactly what the procedure will do before anything happens.
4
Confirm, then run. For tests, the component is driven and then released automatically.
Safety tiers
Reads information — completely safe.
Runs a test — switches something on, then off again (transient).
Makes a permanent change — asks you to confirm; a backup is taken where possible.
Erases learned settings — names exactly what will be erased and requires confirmation; the vehicle re-learns afterward.
Take care
These actions are live. Read the safety prompt, and don't reset learned values unless a repair procedure calls for it. When in doubt, stop and verify the correct procedure first.
Examples
- Battery registration — register a replacement battery so the charging strategy is correct.
- Actuator tests — drive a valve or relay to a set percentage to confirm operation.
