Wheel Hardware

Without a doubt, the best place to store the spare tire for your Mercedes Sprinter is to mount it on your rear door. Moving the spare tire from underneath the van keeps the wheel clean & out of harm's way, provides easier access, and allows you to store a larger-than-stock tire. Best of all it frees up valuable real estate underneath the van which can be better utilized for something like our 28-gallon auxiliary fuel tank or 21-gallon freshwater tank.

The NCV3 (2007-2018) Sprinter Rear Door Tire Carrier quickly installs with simple tools & requires no modifications to the body, door, or door hinges of the van. Prior to developing this solution, the best option was for a rear-mounted spare tire was to add an aftermarket rear bumper. Taking what learned from years of installing swingarms, we designed our tire carrier with smooth operation & articulation in mind. We paid special attention to the design of the hinges and mounting hardware. The result is a rear tire carrier that perfectly tracks with the swing of the rear driver-side door without any binding or impingement. We even added a locating lug pin to make it easier to mount the tire on the carrier.

The billet hardware & steel construction makes our spare tire carrier lightweight & corrosion resistant. And the black powder-coated finish ensures it will last & look good for years to come.

Used to keep my spare

"Used to keep my spare tire in the hitch carrier, or not even travel with a spare. When I bought this van the spare tire was located underneath the couch inside the van. I needed that space for other things. This hitch carrier takes care of all the issues, and I can now have a spare with me at all times. Great improvement!"

Spare Tire Mount for 2007-2018 Sprinter

"The good news: Well designed minimalist product that is relatively easy to install and does it's job. The design allows the unit to move correctly as you open and close the rear door. I installed solo in about 1. 5 hours, and would take far less if I did it again. I am a competent DIY person. No instructions were provided but the ""How to Install"" video on the website was a well produced 5 star item and gave me great understanding of how to install correctly. Agile Off Road seemed to be one on the only options for the earlier Sprinter. I have faith this product will do its job and initial testing seems great. Bad news is that customer service was terrible. I called and left a message and was never called back. When I ordered online it was stated to be back ordered but no timeline was offered. Then, weeks later the package showed up unannounced. Shipping was $250. I live in the same state as Agile Off Road and the package was under 40 lbs. I am sure the shipping was under $100 cost for the manufacturer. I inquired about this by telephone but as stated my call was not answered nor was the message returned. With no other option I ordered anyway and paid the absurd $250 shipping. Kit was missing one of the black rubber caps and I will inquire but am not confident they will get back to me or send the missing piece. Product is 5 stars. Customer Service 1 star."

Revel owners need to select

"Revel owners need to select aftermarket alloys - not Mercedes alloys to get the right lug bolts."

Don't forget the thread locker!

"Fits very well. Installation was pretty easy following instruction video, but they forgot to stress the importance of putting thread locker onto the threads of the screws holding the whole thing to the van door hinges. I can testify that 6000 miles of pothole-laden interstate 40 will vibrate those screws loose! The tire was basically left hanging from the third attachment point, which is not supposed to be a load-bearing attachment. So be very careful and be sure to use thread locker on the upper and lower hinge attachment screws. I am hopeful that it will stay attached this time."
