Can only be used with vans equipped with hood struts.

  • 1 x Rivet Nut w/Installation Tool

TOOL NEEDED

  • 9⁄16” Open Wrench
  • 3mm Allen Wrench
  • 4mm Allen Wrench

INSTALLATION TIME: 20-30 minutes

Installation Steps

Fully open the hood and locate the factory hole to the right of the hood latch.

Insert the supplied Rivet nut and installation tool assembly into the factory hole. Use a 9/16” wrench to hold the installation nut and a 4mm Allen wrench to tighten the center bolt. Tightening the center bolt causes the Rivet nut to crimp on the hood sheet metal.

Tighten center bolt approx. 3.5 turns until the Rivet nut is fully collapsed. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.

Ensure the Rivet nut is fully collapsed.

Use a 3mm Allen wrench to install the AO Hood Strap using the supplied flat head bolt and conical washer.

Align the AO Hood Strap as shown. Torque bolt to 16 inch-lbs.
