Trackbar Reinforcement Plate for INEOS Grenadier by Agile Offroad

Installation Manual

Over time, the factory trackbar mounting point on the Grenadier can wear down, causing the trackbar to loosen and create vibration at speed. Agile Offroad’s Trackbar Reinforcement Plate kit solves this with two precision-cut plates that fit directly into the body-side mounting point. Designed to be welded in place for maximum durability, the kit also includes a bolt and nut for proper installation. In a pinch, the plates can be installed without welding, but welding is strongly recommended for long-term reliability and performance.

INSTALLATION TIME: 1 hour

Installation Steps

1

Use a 21mm socket and wrench to remove the upper track bar bolt.

2

Use a welding blanket to cover the axle and any other suspension components while sanding and welding.

3

Use an angle grinder with sanding disc to sand away the paint in an area slightly larger than the reinforcement gusset.

4

Repeat step 3 on the back side of the track bar mounting bracket.

5

Use a uni-bit to drill out the track bar mounting holes to ¾” and then deburr holes using a file or deburring tool.

6

Identify the front and rear gussets. You will notice the reinforcement gussets have different shapes. They are designed to nest in the stamping of the track bar mount. The squarer of the two is for the front side, and the more angular one fits the back side.

7

Use the OE track bar bolt to mount both reinforcement gussets to the track bar mount with the gusset indexing nubs nested in the holes just drilled.

8

With both gussets aligned and the bolt tightened down, weld both plates to the track bar bracket.

9

Allow the welds to cool down then remove the OE bolt and wire brush the inside and outside of the track bar mount. Wipe the area down with brake cleaner or similar product to remove any left-over dirt and grime. Prime and paint the area with a quality paint.

10

Allow the paint to dry then install the track bar using the supplied M14 bolt from the backside. NOTE: this is important so as the bolt does not crash into the axle housing. Hand tighten supplied nut.

11

If the vehicle was on a lift, lower it to the ground and bounce on the front bumper a few times to settle the suspension. Torque the track bar bolt to 159ft.lbs.
