The AO Skid Plate Impact Brackets are designed to fit the Sprinter 2015-current 3500 models and are necessary when installing an engine skid plate. Laser cut out of 3/16” mild steel and precision formed for proper fit. Will also fit 2500 Sprinter models.

INSTALLATION TIME: 30 min

Installation Steps

Locate the two factory threaded inserts as shown.

Inspect and clean the insert as necessary.

Install the AO Skid Plate Impact Bracket using one of the supplied 12mm X 1.50 bolts and washer. Install bolt through the front hole of bracket and into the factory threaded insert.

Use a ½” center-locating punch to mark the rear drill location.

Use a ⅛” drill bit to make a pilot hole at the previously marked location.

Use a ½” drill bit to finalize hole.

Insert one of the supplied flag nuts into the large as shown. Bend the nut flag as necessary to allow nut to sit flat in frame rail.

Install one of the supplied 12mm X 1.5 bolts and washer through the rear hole of bracket and into the flag nut. Hold nut flag while tightening bolt. Torque both front and rear bolts to 69 ft lbs.
