Utilize the interior space around the rear wheel wells with a high quality universal 30-gallon potable water tank. This wheel well water tank is designed to fit Sprinter 2500 & Transit (single rear wheel) vans, snugly fitting against the wall and around the rear wheel tubs. However, this water tank can easily be adapted to fit dual-rear wheel Sprinter 3500s, Transits, and other vans (by leaving space between the tank & the vehicle’s interior wall).
Wheel well water tanks not only provide an adequate water storage solution for your van but they can also help increase traction by distributing weight to your rear wheels. These tanks can be oriented in any direction to fit your build requirements.
For clarity when ordering, we identify the tank with the offset towards the rear on the passenger side as the “Right” tank (pictured) and the driver side as the “Left” tank. These tanks accept 1/2″ (black plugs) and 1-1/2″ (need to be drilled) NPT fittings. The tanks measures 46.5″ long x 20″ tall x 13.5″ deep.
