As most sprinter owners know the factory shock bolt as well as the factory lower axle bump stop mount are two well known points of failure caused by the extreme stress of off-roading in a built-out and loaded for adventure Sprinter van. There have been many times where we see customers come into the shop for upgrades and we notice top shop bolts were breaking off and the lower tabs on the rear end housing had been hit and bent by rocks.
