Not only do these Nitto Ridge Grapplers look great wrapped around the Black Rhino York, but they’re also a perfect size (255/80-R17) for those of you looking for a taller tire. The fitment is great on this 2017 low-roof Sprinter 2500 4×4 and required no modifications (via wheel spacers or trimming) for shock clearance.

These 255/80-R17s are some of the tallest tires we’ve mounted. However on a 4×4 Sprinter with aftermarket wheels & Agile Wheels Spacers, you can safely run 275/70-R17s with no trimming.

Given how much larger these wheels & tires are than the OEM 245/75-R16s, this customer’s van needed our Oversized Spare Tire Basket kit. This kit includes extended brackets that relocate the tire cradle to accommodate the larger tire. Our kit also includes instructions on how to properly stretch the tire basket. We used a Porta Power Hydraulic Jack to complete the job.
