Mercedes Sprinter – Frequently Asked Questions

Agile Off Road is here to answer your Mercedes-Benz Sprinter questions! Feel free to submit new questions in the comments below!

Question: Does Agile make a 4×4 conversion kit for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

No, not at this time. Because Mercedes makes 4 wheel drive an option from the factory we felt it was best to leave the design & installation of the system to them so we could focus on improving other areas such as suspension.

Question: What is the largest tire I can fit on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

Here are the largest recommended tires sizes for the second generation (2007-2014, 2015+) Mercedes-Benz Sprinters:

  • 2WD 2500 series – 265/70/17
  • 4WD 2500 series – 275/70/17
  • 2WD & 4WD 3500 series – 235/85/16

I was referred to you by Jim at Mercedes in Carlsbad. I want to buy a 2 wheel drive 2019 high roof 144 passenger van to do a conversion, and he said I should talk with you about levelling the front for a better look and feel of the drive. I’m not sure the terminology but could you please send me the price on what you believe would be the best system. (I have always owned 4×4, but this will be my first 2 wheel drive and I just want the best drive feel with some elevation). I am also interested in purchasing some wheels and BFG tires from you to make the vehicle look more aggressive).
A quote for the kit, 265/70/17 BFG tires, and an aggressive rim would be great.
    Thanks,
    Eric Lizerbram
